I heard some yelling in the living room. When I got there I asked what was going on and Becca told me she needed to wash David's face with a wipe!

While I was working my supervisor came over and showed me the cutest picture on her phone...wait it was David and Becca. She is friends with the daycare owner. They enjoy going to "school".

Weekend in Montana

We had a wonderful time in Montana this weekend. The weekend started off with a Barn Dance in Big Arm! Saturday we went to Missoula and visited a lot of good family friends and hit the tail end of Farmer's Market. Richard met a good friend from my high school/college days too. David and Becca had a great time playing with his daughter. Sunday we relaxed at their house and the kids played in Papa's new wood shed that is great as a stage!!! Monday we drove home. Busy weekend.

Adventure or Disaster?!

We took the kids camping a couple of weeks ago. I planned ahead and reserved a spot on the internet weeks in advance (I was excited to try camping with the kids). When we got there we found out our site was on the edge of a steep cliff. If it would've just been Richard and myself we would've loved it. We found out we could switch and did...I didn't even need to pay the extra $10 to reserve the spot because we were probably one of four sites with anyone there! We set up the tent with the idea we would get camp ready and take a nap. The kids were excited to see the tent and wanted to run around and play. Richard wanted to nap so I took the kids in the car about a mile away to the park playground. We had a great time there, got in the car to leave and the car would not start. I looked down and realized I had both phones with me. I looked around for someone to help us and decided it was up to me to get us back to camp. That mile seemed like 10 with 2 kids (Becca was a trooper and walked the whole way) but David cried "I want to go home, carry me". We got back to the site, Richard left to go get the car or figure out what to do and we were going to nap. I got us all settled in the tent and closed my eyes. It was quiet until I heard a snorting noise, opened my eyes to see David with something in his nose. I guess he had put pebbles in his pocket at the playground and now they were stuck in his nostrils (Becca might have helped him get them in). I wanted to cry because we were stuck in the woods in a tent without a car and a son with pebbles in his nose. I called Richard who had a bicycle rider with tools helping him with the car "hurry back because we might need to take David to the hospital"..... With a car that was working, clear sinus and a hot crowded tent we laid down for bed. The END of the story is that we left at about 10 pm to go home! Our friends wanted us to camp with them this last weekend--when Richard told them the story I think they changed their minds or we did!!!

Hot day, beautiful wedding and good friends

A good friend got married outside at the winery (it was beautiful and the sunset was beyond words) but it was the hottest day of the year! We had a great time.

The big county fair

The county fair here is very small but it was fun to take the kids to see the animals. I thought these were the cutest animals at the fair!!! David and Becca learned how to really sound like a pig there!! No more cute little "oink"...they can sound like a hog now!! The advantages of living in a small rural town.

1-2-3 today!

David had a wonderful time at his 3rd birthday party! We are enjoying our new place and it was great to share this day with everyone!

Keeping up with the....hmmmm!!!

There are a lot of tractors and 4 wheelers on the road here...Richard got the lawn mower that he used when he was younger running so they could do some male bonding and fit in here! David loves it. (I think Richard does too!!)

The Playground

The community just finished a wonderful playground here next to the baseball fields, swimming pool and basketball/tennis courts. The kids love playing there and I love it because it seems to be very safe and has one set of toys for their age! There are a lot of hiking trails around here that will be fun when the kids get a little older and beautiful places to camp close to home just in case we have to leave during the middle of the night!!

The Move!

We moved to Idaho last week. We are unpacking and trying to get things in place here. The town is small but the people have been very friendly. We still have our house in Spokane until we figure that out too! Lots of changes. I am having a good time home with the kids. We go to the park, play outside, read books and just have fun unpacking (I unpack and they have fun seeing the stuff like it is Christmas)! I will put some pictures on here soon. We have dial up for the time being because they don't have a lot of options here! Thanks for everyone that helped us out. It was a long couple of weeks!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a wonderful time at my parent's house in Montana. Here are a few pictures from over there.

This is my bathrobe from when I was little. My mom's friend made it for me. I think I have a picture of me in it with my six pack of baby bottles! David got a new "Cow hat"...he told us he is ready to ride cows now! And David had a fun time on the way home with a small candy bar...Becca yelled "David mess"....sure enough! We also spent some time in our new town. We will send the details soon. We think we found a house to rent until we decide what we will do with our house here. Everyone there was really nice. Four wheelers on every road even the highway!!! Adventure number ?????? for Richard and me since we have been married.

Summer!

We had a beautiful weekend! Our Central Air is in and I got to visit with old friends today! My big news is that I got my lay off notice last week. I guess I should be a little upset but I am also looking forward to what is ahead. Richard got a great job the week before with insurance and a raise! We will be moving but don't know the details yet. I will keep everyone informed. I plan on staying home for awhile, taking care of the kids and finishing my Master's degree! Lots to figure out in the next few weeks! This little outfit Becca has on....well, I bought it right after I found we were having a girl! She really is something. David is learning something new everyday too...he is counting and trying to say his letters! I look forward to my time with them...I'm sure there will be times when I am begging to go back to work!!! But, I have wanted to do this for a long time. Here are some fun pictures from the weekend.

Spring is finally here!

We spent most of the weekend in the backyard! It was beautiful outside. Richard is doing great with the bike trailer...we made it to Aunt Lu Lu and Uncle Tim's house on the bikes, jumped on the tampoline, and made it home on the bikes!!! I sure hope it doesn't go from 50 to 100 in a week!! We need to have more weekends like this last one.

Happy Birthday Great-Uncle Richard!

On April 4th we woke to a Birthday call from Janice (Richard's sister) saying Meghan (our niece) was having her baby. We spent the day in and out of the hospital that day waiting the arrival. He is a beautiful baby and we are all very happy to have another little one in the family.

My parents brought Becca a Griz cheerleading outfit last time they were here. She wore it to David's last soccer game. He had a wonderful time with the soccer and was making goals (dad was the goalie) at the end of the little season! I have been busy with work and family. We are all doing great right now. David started Baseball today. He was so excited that when he woke up during the middle of the night he said "hit ball with bat"!!!! We are suppose to have snow tonight so we are hoping this weather crew was wrong. I will try to be better about keeping this site up. Becca is still into everything and learning something new everyday!

Winter Fun!

We had a snow day from work today! I had a good time with the kids playing in the snow! Here are a few pictures. Spokane has been getting a lot of snow (maybe not compared to Montana or Alaska) but enough to close school for the week and make us a little restless at home!

Happy 2008!

We are alive! And finally all feeling better. During the Christmas season we got a bad cold that continued for a month! Becca is the only one that was able to avoid it! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I am including a few pictures and will update more this weekend. We were also having computer problems...another type of bug!

Trip to the North Pole

We took the kids on a lake cruise in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. We started out from the dock at the resort...a ton of lights...and end up at a boat house across the lake. The lights come on and Santa comes out and gives a little speech. David loved it!!!
